"This is our first time here and the overall experience we had was amazing. This is a nice place to even come on a special occasion. There is a large parking area (not cheap though) next to the cafe which saves customers the trouble of needing to find parking spot far away. Upon walking into the place, we loved the ambience right away as it was very cozy and comfortable. Those who like being near nature can sit at the back where there are plants and natural lighting. It also helps that the toilet here are clean for hygiene reasons. Service-wise, the waitress was very friendly and patient with us of which we were appreciative of since our group was moderate in size with many kids. It didn’t take too long for our dishes to arrive one after another so i was pretty satisfied. As for the food, all the dishes were surprisingly delicious (pomodoro pasta, mushroom on toast, smashed avocado, and burnt cheesecake). We actually loved the cheesecake way more than we thought as the taste was just perfect. The food presentation were well throughout so it is heaven for photo taking lovers. The food prices here may seem a bit high if this is an average cafe but in this case, it was well worth it in my opinion if you take into account the cafe environment, food quality, and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will surely come again in the future."
"I went here twice during my trip to Penang, and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the food is great, making it ideal whether you want a casual coffee sit-down or a full meal. The desserts are top-tier, we ordered the tiramisu and the burnt cheesecake, and both had the perfect balance of flavor without being too sweet. The matcha and the parmesan fries also deserve a massive shoutout!"
"Finally I got the best cheese cake in Penang 😄. Good taste and nice cheese. If you like cheese cake I can confirm you will like this. Price at higher side and worth it. Chicken sandwich is just a surprise😮. The sourdough bread is crispy and taste good. Chicken also juicy. Worth the try. Definitely will come back again. Just park the the paid carpark."
"We casually chose Cara Caro for lunch, and the ambiance was comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. After we sat down for a while, the friendly and lovely elderly Josephine came over to introduce the dishes and chat. She asked if we needed any recommendations, and we readily agreed, deciding to try the chili shrimp and fried chicken set meal. It was definitely a wise choice; the food was delicious and tasted just like home. The drinks were also great! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious home-style cooking!"
"Had a visit to Cara Caro recently and it’s a really lovely spot with a calming atmosphere. The café has a vintage-inspired interior with lots of greenery, giving it a cozy, slightly nostalgic feel that makes it very relaxing to dine in. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down and enjoy your meal comfortably. The highlight was definitely the Salmon Ochazuke , a beautifully crafted Japanese dish with flaky grilled salmon over rice, served in a warm green tea broth. The flavours were comforting and umami-rich, with seaweed and sesame adding depth and texture. It felt light yet satisfying, and very well balanced overall. Overall, a nice hidden-style café with great ambience and a thoughtfully executed signature dish."
